AIGA Houston is organizing the first-ever Houston Design Week to connect Houston's dynamic design and creative community. Join us for over a full week of lectures, exhibitions, workshops, films, schmoozing and inspiration.

Family Day at CAMH


Take a guided tour of the group exhibition Graphic Design – Now in Production at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and bring the kids to get creative in several workshops, including a Living Room Dance led by Hope Stone and Invasion HTX, an alien-invasion workshop for creatures of all ages.

As part of Family Day at CAMH and Graphic Design – Now in Production, bring your little ones by for a super fun space-themed design workshop where they'll create unique, out-of-this world alien costumes and other goodies. 30-minute workshops begin at 1:00 p.m., 1:45 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

Make A Logo With The DDC…From Start To Finish In 75 Minutes


This fast-paced, 75-minute workshop will allow you to go behind the scenes with the DDC for an unapologetic look into their go-for-broke logo design process and will provide advice on how to apply it. You will: explore research methods, think on your toes, and master tips and tricks on how to move at the speed of light (almost) in a non-stop world. At the end of the workshop, your logo will come to life with the steadfast DDC seal of approval! The workshop is limited to 25 attendees with tickets priced at $20 for CAMH and AIGA members and $30 for nonmembers.

Design Week Closing Party


In celebration of the first ever Houston Design Week and for the closing of the exhibition Graphic Design—Now in Production, CAMH will be hosting a party from 7-9PM inside and on the front lawn of the museum. St. Arnold brewery will be providing beer, food trucks will be available and Graphic Design—Now in Production designer Aaron Draplin will be joining in on the festivities after his workshop.
