In today’s “The Daily Heller,” the story is about the Kindle and who named it (yes, it was Michael Cronan). It’s interesting, though, to hear the rationale behind the name, which I had not heard yet. A friend of mine told me that the Kindle was so cool, you’d want to burn all your books, but that’s not the real explanation. 🙂
I would have loved to see some of the rejected names, regardless, just to get more insight into their thinking process.
Don’t forget that Michael Cronan and Karen Hibma will be in Houston April 2, 2009 for an AIGA Houston lecture, so I hope you mark your calendars! You can ask him yourself about the Kindle if you want. I will.
