Earlier we were informed that 34 faculty and staff members from the Art Institute of Houston (owned by Education Management Corporation) were laid off from their jobs suddenly yesterday (August 23rd).

Our hearts go out to the faculty and staff that lost their jobs in this tough economic climate and to the students who may or may not have instructors for their classes this upcoming quarter.

We are curious to know how local students and design educators are being impacted by this, and what, if anything can be done to help?
