For over 25 years, AIGA Houston has fostered deep personal connections with creative professionals in our community and across the nation. If you are a local student in a design program or an aspiring creative, apply for our Community Membership Fund Program to avail educational and professional benefits from an AIGA membership.
What is the Community Membership Fund Program? The program grants AIGA membership to local Design students and aspiring creatives from marginalized and underserved communities or experiencing financial hardships. See the full program details here.
Applications for the 2025 Community Membership Fund Program open on Monday, October 6th, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. CT.
Who is Eligible
- Must be 18 years of age or older and committed to professional growth while engaging with the local creative network.
- Identify with a marginalized or underserved community, or actively support diversity and inclusion within the creative industry.
- Aspire to pursue a career in a creative field (e.g., graphic design, illustration, photography, animation, writing, etc.).
- Must reside in Houston or the surrounding area.
How to Apply
Complete the Community Membership Fund Program application form by the deadline. The form will ask for:
- Contact information: name, phone, email address
- Mailing address
- Headshot
- Gender identity
- Sexual orientation
- Race and ethnicity
- College or university name
- Degree and grade level
- Cover letter: In 250–500 words, tell us how the gift of an AIGA membership will be beneficial to you. Only PDF or Word doc files accepted.

The application deadline for the 2025 Student Membership Fund Program is FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH, 2025, 11:59 p.m. CT.
