Printer’s Paradise

Last week, at the Museum of Printing History, I strolled upon this fellow and couldn’t help but put my nose in his business. He was taping up a blank wall with both wood block and letter-pressed posters. Extras from his shop, this Printer’s Guild volunteer was posting these paper gems for the next team meeting. I could have stayed another half hour to pick apart each composition, but I opted to take a few snapshots to share with you guys instead.

A fabulous New Years resolution might be to step it up and get more involved with your design community. The Museum of Printing History welcomes you to love your thirsty mind with a schedule of events for the upcoming year. Mark your 2011 calendar on January 9 when David Webb, will share how to make botanical prints out of plants and join my dear friend, Suzanne Powney, for a screen-printing workshop on Febuary 6. Workshops are on Sunday so bring a friend/co-worker and make an afternoon of it! Taking the time to put your nose in creativity feels oh so good.
