Are YOU a Command X Candidate?
Command X: Season 2, the real-life graphic design reality show
Are you up for the challenge?

Back by popular demand, “Command X: Season 2” is the ultimate live graphic design reality show held at “Make/Think,” this year’s AIGA Design Conference! We’ll provide a stage for emerging designers to break into the industry in front of 2,000 peers, heroes and potential employers. All you have to do is provide the talent.

What is “Command X”?

Over the course of the conference, seven contestants will take on a series of design challenges for a panel of esteemed judges—including Bonnie Siegler of Number Seventeen, author and designer Chip Kidd, and some surprise guests! As the drama unfolds throughout the weekend, judges will edit the group down to one winner. If you think you (or your favorite up-and-coming designer) can compete with the rising stars of design, apply now.

Who is eligible?

“Command X: Season 2” is open to current AIGA members who are 26 or younger and have a college degree.

How can I apply?

Good question—you must follow these instructions exactly to be considered as a participant. In a single PDF document, submit five (5) images of your best design work, plus a 100–150 word statement about yourself and why you should be considered. The PDF must be titled with your name in this format:firstname.lastname.pdf and emailed to commandx@aiga.org

The application deadline is July 15, 2009. For complete details, visit the “Make/Think” website and check out episodes from “Command X: Season 1” while you’re there.

Good luck!
