We invite students, pros, and leaders who view design as a strategic advantage and a powerful storyteller to engage in sharp conversations and share insightful perspectives.

Theme
This year’s theme, A Day in the Life, focuses on the lived realities of creative work—the pressure, the pivots, the practice—and how these shifts are shaking up the industry and careers. Through spark presentations by real creatives, no-fluff panels and partner showcases, you’ll hear from the ones doing the doing, across disciplines and industries. It’s an honest look at how creative careers are shifting, and what collaboration looks like in motion.

Share your story of “a day in the life”
Submit your story of “A Day in the Life” focusing on your habits, insights, or the moments that define your day as a creative. Whether you’re prototyping at a cafe, editing on the subway, pitching in a boardroom, or sketching in a studio apartment, we want your POV: the focus, the chaos, the grind! No polished reels. No fluff. Just the raw rhythm of how you move through your day as a designer in flux.
Why Submit Your “Day in the life?”
It’s a chance for you to demystify the profession and share your insights with aspiring designers. Your stories will be featured on AIGA Houston’s social media and website throughout 2025. A juried selection of stories may be spotlighted live at the design symposium.
Steps for submission: Due by 10.10.2025
- Prepare your story as a short video, photos with captions, or an audio. Submit only one media type.
– Video: Dimensions: 1080 X 1920 px. Vertical / Duration: 15 – 30 seconds
– Photo: Dimensions: 1080 X 1350 px. Vertical or 1080 x 566 px. Horizontal
– Audio–Duration: 1 minute
- Fill the submission form with your information and upload the media.
- Hit submit!
