Even the most decorated professional has a few missteps.
That’s why AIGA Houston is hosting a first-of-its-kind event in September for the local creative community. The format is PechaKucha, a presentation of 20 slides, 20 seconds each, on the theme of failure. Presenters will share lessons from hiccups, losses and rejections in their creative process and careers to encourage a spirit of experimentation, failure and innovation.

AIGA, the professional association for design, is committed to creating an inclusive environment where diverse voices are active in all aspects of our organization. This requires a culture of inclusion in which all individuals feel respected and are treated fairly, and different viewpoints, opinions, thoughts, and ideas are encouraged and embraced. We consider diversity comprehensively, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability and disability, age, and other factors that shape creative perspective and professional experience.
