AIGA Houston is a proud collaborator of AIGA Unidos' first-ever event series, Hispanic Heritage Talks. This series of virtual talks will occur during Hispanic Heritage Month, and features Latinx and Hispanic creatives from different backgrounds and disciplines.
Join us on Wednesday, September 23, for Stories that a Product Tells, with Martin Tibabuzo, creative director of Peak Sports and former brand designer at the Adidas headquarters in Germany. With over 22 years of experience in the design field, Tibabuzo will share his design trajectory in this evening of storytelling and questions. See how accumulated experiences connect with people and add value to the story a product tells.
About the Creative
Martin Tibabuzo was born 44 years ago in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), a public and free university. Tibabuzo is a multidisciplinary designer, who began his professional career back in 1998, and since then, has worked in editorial, web, branding, motion, product, fashion, teaching, arts, and photography.
From short films and ceramic pots to football jerseys and running shoes, Tibabuzo proudly showcases his heritage, experience, and passions into his designed products. He mixes football with iconic Argentinean independence heroes, cosmonauts, and idols from childhood to create compelling design.
