Intro to Design Thinking

New year, new skills! We are excited to bring you our first workshop of the year with Intro to Design Thinking. This two-week, hands-on workshop covers an overview of the design thinking methodology and makes for a great introduction if you are looking to dive deeper into comprehensive UX Design or design thinking courses. Participants will receive a certificate upon workshop completion.

Parking/Access

Free parking is available in the attached lot behind the building. Street parking is available on surrounding streets, and the use of rideshare and carpooling are encouraged.

  • Q: Do I have to be an AIGA member to attend?
    • A: No! We have both member and nonmember tickets available.
  • Q: What time are the classes?
    • A: Weekday classes are in the evening on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 6–8 p.m. Weekend classes are on Saturday from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
  • Q: Can I choose which classes to attend?
    • A: No. Intro to Design Thinking is a 20-hour workshop course divided over 8 days. It is essential to attend all 8 classes to acquire the certificate of completion.
  • Q: Can I sign up for one week only?
    • A: No. The fee covers all 8 classes and cannot be split in half. When you register, you will be signed up for all 8 classes over the 2 weeks.
  • Q: Who is teaching this workshop?
  • Q: What is your refund policy?
    • A: Refunds must be requested at least 7 days prior to the event. Eventbrite’s processing fees are nonrefundable.
  • Q: Will there be food and drinks?
    • A: Yes. We will supply light bites and refreshments, but feel free to bring your own food, snacks or non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Q: Is there onsite parking?
    • A: Yes. The building has its own parking lot.
  • Q: Is the location wheelchair accessible?
    • A: Yes. The event is on the second floor of the building and is accessible by elevator at request.
