Member Mix, vol. 1

One thing most creatives have in common is a love for music. It’s what motivates us before a presentation, spurs us on when we’ve got a deadline to meet, and helps us to forget about work when we need to.

Every other Friday we’ll bring you musical inspiration from Houston’s top creatives, in a series of designer-generated Spotify playlists. If you don’t already have Spotify, you can sign up for a free account here.

To start things off, I’ve put together a mix of some of my favorite Jamaican tracks from ska to rocksteady to reggae. If you like American soul and rhythm & blues of the 60s, it’s impossible to ignore the connection. There’s nothing better to get me through the hot Houston summer.
