Student Membership Fund Program
As we celebrate 25 years of service to our community this year, AIGA Houston has set out to increase opportunities that support early career development. We have launched the Student Membership Fund Program, granting an AIGA membership to students experiencing financial hardship or hailing from marginalized or underserved communities.
The Program is designed to achieve the following objectives:
Promote Diversity and Inclusion: By extending AIGA memberships to students from marginalized and underserved communities, we aim to create a more diverse and representative design community.
Access to Valuable Resources: AIGA membership provides students with access to invaluable design resources, events and industry insights that can augment their education and career prospects.
Foster Creative Excellence: Supporting students during their formative years can help nurture excellence in the design field, benefiting the industry as a whole.
Through a qualitative application process and review by an external selection committee, we are excited to announce that UH Graphic Design Senior, Gerald Sastra, has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the Program’s award.
Our goal is to extend memberships to even more students in 2024, and are eager to continue building on initiatives that positively impact their careers. To help us do so, please consider making a gift to the fund through our PayPal donation page.
